Warren, a former student-athlete himself, is taking a strong stance on bringing mental health awareness to the B1G and across college athletics. He wants to be sure that players have all the resources necessary to have an enjoyable and healthy experience during their time in the NCAA.
Recntly, Warren sat down with Big Ten Network’s Howard Griffith to discuss the importance of mental health awareness and ensuring that proper policies and resources are in place for student-athletes to take advantage of, should it be needed. As a father of student-athletes himself, Warren understands the challenges facing college athletes today.
Below is the interview with Warren and Griffith, as posted on Twitter by BTN:
"I just want to make sure that they understand, from a conference-standpoint, that I'm aware of it, I'm sensitive to it, I lived it."
