NFL officially postpones play for remainder of MNF game after Damar Hamlin collapses on field

The NFL has made the right move and postponed the remainder of the Monday Night football matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals after 24-year old safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field. Hamlin was taken by Ambulance to UC Hospital shortly after. He was reported to have received CPR on the field.
The NFL temporarily suspended play following the scary situation. They later made the decision that football cannot be played the remainder of Monday night, announcing on the broadcast that play had been officially suspended for the evening.
Broadcast: “The league is going to officially suspend play for this evening. … The game will not be played this evening.”

There are not many words for as scary a situation as this. Reports indicate that Hamlin’s family was able to be transported to the hospital with him in the ambulance. Now, all that is left to do is hope for the best.
