NFL preseason action is here, and a number of B1G linebackers came out with hot starts Thursday night.
According to Pro Football Focus, Baltimore Ravens linebacker and former Michigan star Josh Ross was the highest-graded rookie of Thursday evening. Ross graded out at 91.5 per PFF with 4 solo tackles and a pass deflection.
New York Giants linebacker and former Indiana star Micah McFadden was not far behind Ross with an 88.4 rating. McFadden had 4 tackles (2 solo) against the New England Patriots.

Though not included in the rating system, Tennessee Titans linebacker and former Minnesota star Jack Gibbens also had a big outing. Gibbens posted 9 tackles (4 solo) when the Titans faced the Ravens.
It is still extremely early, so it will be interesting to see how these B1G rookies progress in 2022. With injuries bound to play a role in the season, some of these players are likely to get on the field as first-year players.
