A few days ago, the NFL announced that Maroon 5 would be the halftime performer for Super Bowl LIII. Now, the league has revealed the National Anthem singer for the year’s most popular sporting event.

Seven-time Grammy Award-winner Gladys Knight will sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl LIII on Sunday, Feb. 3 in Atlanta. Her performance will be televised live on CBS prior to kickoff.

“I am proud to use my voice to unite and represent our country in my hometown of Atlanta,” Knight said in a press release. “The NFL recently announced their new social justice platform Inspire Change, and I am honored to be a part of its inaugural year.”

Knight has won seven Grammy Awards and has earned 22 nominations throughout her career. She’s also known as the “Empress of Soul.”

On Sunday, the NFC and AFC Championship games will be played to determine the Super Bowl matchup. The NFC Championship Game features the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints while the AFC Championship Game pits the New England Patriots against the Kansas City Chiefs.
