Now that the deadline has passed to declare for the 2019 NFL Draft and all the names have been submitted, several experts are breaking down the top available players for this year’s draft.
Recently, NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah released his list of top 50 prospects for the draft. It’s his initial list, coming before the combine has even started, so there’s still the chance that this top 50 could change.
Unsurprisingly, Nick Bosa sits at the No. 1 spot on the list. The former Ohio State defensive lineman has been regarded as the top overall prospect since the start of the college football season. Clearly, his core muscle injury hasn’t affected his status.
Bosa is one of three Buckeyes and seven B1G players to be listed in the top 50. There are also two players from Michigan and two from Iowa that have made the cut. Here are the B1G names listed on Jeremiah’s top 50 list, along with their ranking:
- No. 1: Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State
- No. 4: Rashan Gary, DE, Michigan
- No. 14: T.J. Hockenson, TE, Iowa
- No. 15: Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State
- No 17: Devin Bush Jr., LB, Michigan
- No. 28: Noah Fant, TE, Iowa
- No. 49: Dre’Mont Jones, DT, Ohio State
Of the seven B1G names listed, five of those were mentioned as top 20 prospects. Not too shabby for the conference.
The full top 50 list can be viewed on NFL.com.
