Alabama’s Nick Saban wouldn’t mind if the SEC started to schedule more conference games moving forward.

Saban has been a big advocate of this for a long time since the conference has been wanting to add more teams to the fray. Some teams within the conference don’t play each other as often but the only way that will happen is if they expand conference play, as Saban says here.

The SEC would finally join both the BIG 12 and PAC-12 by playing at least 9 conference games if they were to expand it. The B1G currently still plays only 8 conference games as does the ACC and it’s still unknown if both of those will add another conference game down the line.

With Texas & Oklahoma joining the SEC in a few seasons, it would only make sense for the SEC to start testing an expanded conference schedule out a bit. Each team that’s already in the conference will want a shot at beating those 2 programs and it would make for some really fun games.
