Hansberry, a 6-foot-8 prospect out of Maryland, could make an immediate impact for the Fighting Illini the second he steps on campus.

Hansberry is considered to be the No. 1 prospect from the state of Maryland, the 52nd overall player in the class of 2023 and the No. 10 power forward in the nation.

The Fighting Illini are on the right track in attempts to replicated their success on the recruiting trail in 2022, Illinois has the No. 7 class in the nation heading into the 2022 calendar.
