Sunday’s Top 5 showdown between No. 3 Michigan and No. 4 Ohio State is still on track to be one of the most colossal matchups of the B1G this season.

Thursday night, both the Wolverines and Buckeyes were in action, and both pulled out victories to set up a fun meeting this weekend. Michigan took care of Rutgers 71-64 in Ann Arbor while Ohio State got a 92-82 road win over Penn State.

Michigan got 20 points from Franz Wagner, who knocked down 6-of-9 shots from the floor and was 3-of-4 from 3-point range. Mike Smith had 12 points and Hunter Dickinson scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the win.

Since returning from a 3-week pause due to COVID-19, Michigan is 2-0 with wins over No. 21 Wisconsin and Rutgers. The Wolverines are 10-1 in the B1G, sitting atop the standings. They’re 15-1 overall.

E.J. Liddell and Duane Washington had huge nights for the Buckeyes in the 10-point victory over Penn State. Liddell scored a game-high 23 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 2 assists while Washington scored 21 points and drilled 4-of-5 shots from 3-point land.

Ohio State has now won 7 straight games. The Buckeyes are 18-4 overall with a 12-4 record in the B1G.
