Here’s an interesting stat for you, and it proves just how uninteresting the College Football Playoff semifinal games have been over the years.

With Alabama’s 27-6 win over Cincinnati, it is now the 11th time in 15 CFP semifinals that the game was decided by 17 points or more. Brett McMurphy of The Action Network put the stat out from his Twitter account on Friday evening.

Thought Cincinnati put up a tough fight, it didn’t have nearly enough to hang with Alabama. Now, the Crimson Tide are heading back to the national championship.

Alabama will play the winner of the Orange Bowl game between Michigan and Georgia.

We’ll see if that semifinal game is a little bit closer.
