NW Missouri State to honor fallen soldiers in Afghanistan with special uniforms for Week 6

Northwest Missouri State will have special uniforms in Week 6 that will honor the fallen soldiers in Afghanistan. Uniswag reviewed the uniforms on Twitter.

Each player’s helmet will have a soldier’s name on it:

The uniforms are receiving plenty of praise on social media so far.

Northwest Missouri State competes in Division II in the MIAA. Northwest Missouri State has captured six national championships (1998, 1999, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2016) and 30 MIAA titles.

Northwest Missouri State is off to a 4-0 start this season. Northwest Missouri State defeated Fort Hays State, Central Missouri, Central Oklahoma, and Missouri Western. The stingy Northwest Missouri State defense hasn’t allowed more than seven points yet this season.

Northwest Missouri State will square off with Pittsburgh State this week on Oct. 9 (1:30 p.m. EST).
