Not even a day after the 2020 NFL Draft concluded, Vegas already has released some odds for the No. 1 selection in next year’s draft.

This year, LSU quarterback Joe Burrow was the No. 1 pick, selected by the Cincinnati Bengals. There was no surprise with the first selection, as Burrow had been locked into that spot after enjoying the greatest season in college football history for a quarterback.

Could a quarterback be the No. 1 pick again in the 2021 NFL Draft? According to BetMGM, there’s a good chance it happens. In a recent release of those odds, three quarterbacks were among those with the five-best odds.

Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence has the best odds at -250 while Ohio State’s Justin Fields is also on the list at +350. Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons also made the top five at +2000.

Below is the top five from BetMGM:

  • Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson (-250)
  • Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State (+350)
  • Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon (+500)
  • D’Eriq King, QB, Miami (+1400)
  • Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State (+2000)

Fields was a Heisman Trophy finalist last season after throwing for 3,273 yards and 41 touchdowns, as well as rushing for 484 yards and 10 additional scores. He led the Buckeyes to a 13-1 season, a B1G title and College Football Playoff appearance.

Parsons is considered by many to be the top-returning defensive player in college football. The Penn State linebacker totaled 109 stops, 14 tackles for loss, five pass break-ups and four forced fumbles. The Nittany Lions ended with an 11-2 record.
