If you love offense, then the first half from College Park was just for you.

Friday night’s game between Minnesota and Maryland provided plenty of offensive entertainment — and very little defense. Two players stood out the most through the first 30 minutes, Maryland quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa and Minnesota running back Mohamed Ibrahim.

Tagovailoa completed 13-of-17 pass attempts for 210 yards with 2 touchdowns and an interception in the first half. He also totaled 73 yards and a touchdowns on 5 carries. His one TD run was a 39-yard scamper in the opening quarter.

Ibrahim racked up 130 yards on 21 carries on the ground, scoring 4 touchdowns in the first 2 quarters. That touchdown total is a new career-high for the Gophers RB and tied a school record.

Below are some of the first half highlights:

Maryland jumped out to a 14-0 lead to start the game and was up 21-7 at the end of the 1st quarter. However, an interception by Minnesota defensive lineman DeAngelo Carter set up a tying touchdown for the Gophers, and Minnesota was able to force the Terps to punt on the ensuing possession.

The Gophers own a 28-21 advantage at the half.
