If you’re hoping the B1G ends its streak of missing the College Football Playoff this fall, you may find yourself rooting for Ohio State or Michigan.
This week, BetOnline.ag released a list of teams with the best percentages to reach the College Football Playoff following the 2019 campaign. Clemson and Alabama were given overwhelming odds to reach the semifinals, both given a 67.8 percent shot to compete for a title.
Georgia has the third-highest percentage at 44.9 and Oklahoma rounds out the top four at 39.1 percent.
The B1G isn’t represented until the No. 5 spot, where Ohio State is given a 36.6 percent chance to make the four-team field. Immediately following the Buckeyes is Michigan at 23.8 percent, a significant dip.

The high percentages for Ohio State and Michigan reflect the odds for both teams to win the national title, as well. The Buckeyes have 12/1 odds to win it all next season, while Michigan has been given 14/1 odds.
The B1G has been left out of the College Football Playoff each of the last two seasons and the conference champion has been omitted three consecutive years.
