You’re never going to believe this, but a lot of people watched the Ohio State-Michigan game yesterday.

Not only was there a record-setting crowd of 110,045 in Columbus, but the Buckeyes’ 30-27 double-overtime victory scored a massive 10.4 overnight rating.

That is the highest-rated game of the 2016 college football season and also the second-best regular season rating ever for ABC, trailing only the 2006 Ohio State–Michigan “Game of the Century,” which received an 11.5 overnight rating.

Prior to Saturday, college football’s most-watched game in 2016 was the opener between Notre Dame and Texas. That one earned a 7.0 overnight rating.

The Game is the best rivalry in football, and these numbers make it hard to argue otherwise.
