Minnesota and Ohio State are set for a Thursday night showdown to start the season, and we now know that game will be on a national broadcast.
Friday afternoon, FOX announced the details for three B1G broadcasts during the 2021 season. The most notable matchup was the announcement for “The Game” rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan, though the network also announced it will air the season opener between the Buckeyes and P.J. Fleck’s Minnesota Gophers on Thursday, Sept. 2.
The time of the game has yet to be announced:

This should be a great way to start the season as we get an early look at both teams. The game will be played in Minnesota.
The last time the Buckeyes and Gophers faced each other was in 2018, a 30-14 victory for Ohio State. Minnesota has not won a game against Ohio State since 2000 with the Buckeyes winning 11 straight against the Gophers.
FOX also announced Friday that the network will broadcast Oregon’s trip to Ohio State on Sept. 11.
