It’s not hard to see why Ohio State is a big favorite in this particular matchup. The Buckeyes maintain a dominant defense this season, and the Spartans have been unable to string together consistent plays on either side of the ball under interim head coach Harlon Barnett.
As for the head-to-head series, Ohio State has won 7 straight and dominates the all-time series with a 36-15 edge. The Buckeyes have won 6 straight by 20+ points, including a 49-20 win in East Lansing a season ago.
This year’s matchup is set for primetime with a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff from Columbus on NBC Sports.
