Five Big Ten teams made ESPN’s freshest Power Rankings, released Sunday morning following the Saturday slate of games.

It was only Week 1 of the season for the Big Ten while the rest of the country wrapped up Week 8, but the voters, writers, and pundits are high on the league with its lowest entrant, Penn State, ranked no. 16 despite coming off a loss to Indiana, who hits the list at no. 11.

Three more teams are in the top ten, with Michigan coming in at no. 9, Wisconsin at no. 6, and Ohio State at no. 3. The Buckeyes are considered the the league’s great Scarlet and Gray hope for the College Football Playoff, though some believe Wisconsin has a legitimate shot to reach college football’s version of the final four.
