One team in the Pac-12 has scheduled only Power 5 opponents for the upcoming season.

With its full schedule now released, Stanford is the only program at the FBS level that will play only Power 5 opponents during the 2021 season. In addition to its nine conference games, the Cardinal will play three P5 opponents in non-league play.

Stanford has scheduled games against Kansas State (Big 12), Vanderbilt (SEC) and Notre Dame (Independent) for its nonconference schedule. Games against the Wildcats and Commodores will be on the road, while the contest against the Fighting Irish will be at home.

To make Stanford’s schedule even more difficult, the team will open the season with three straight road games. The Cardinal will play Kansas State, USC and Vanderbilt as away games before coming home to play UCLA.

Stanford finished the 2020 season with a 4-2 record.
