Oregon continues to make waves in the class of 2025.
On Thursday night, 5-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore announced his commitment to Dan Lanning and the Ducks. Moore, a Texas native, is one of the highest-rated WR prospects in the country for this cycle.
He had offers from some of the premier WR factories in the country, including Ohio State, LSU and Texas.

Moore is one of the very best prospects in the country for the class of 2025, regardless of position. He’s the No. 3 overall recruit in the nation for this class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 1 wide receiver and the No. 1 player from the state of Texas.
This is a massive recruiting win for Oregon, who has been on a major hot streak on the recruiting trail this summer. This is the second consecutive weekend that Oregon has landed a verbal commitment from a 5-star prospect. Last week, it was 5-star cornerback Dorian Brew (also a Texas native) who joined the fold.

Oregon recruits well all over the country, but Texas has become an extremely important recruiting territory for the Ducks under Lanning’s regime. Oregon’s top-2 commits in this class both hail from the Lone Star State. Oregon signed a combined 7 players from Texas in its 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes.
Oregon is now up to 15 commits in the class of 2025. The group sits at No. 7 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Of the programs currently in the top-8, no program has fewer commits than Oregon does as of publication — indicating there’s more upside for Lanning and his staff to climb the recruiting rankings leaderboard in the coming weeks and months.
