The Oregon Duck is flying high (pun intended) after Oregon’s 38-17 win over Michigan in Ann Arbor to improve to 9-0 and remain near the top of the Big Ten standings — almost assuring it will be No. 1 in the initial College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday.

Tez Johnson was injured in the early going, but the Ducks still dominated during what was just the sixth all-time meeting between the two programs on the gridiron, taking a 28-10 halftime lead thanks to a 21-point third quarter while outgaining the Wolverines 470-270 on the afternoon. Dillon Gabriel threw for 294 yards and recorded both a passing and rushing touchdown while Jordan James went for 117 yards and a score on 23 carries.

Michigan Stadium is known, of course, as the Big House, a point the Oregon Duck’s X account made sure to take note of in this post shortly after the game ended:

Oregon’s path to the Big Ten Championship Game is clear: it’ll be heavily favored in its remaining games against Maryland, Wisconsin, and Washington. Indiana, with a 6-0 B1G record, currently leads the conference on a tiebreak.

For now, though, the Ducks can celebrate yet another win as their undefeated season continues.
