Oregon lands commitment from 4-star safety out of Florida
Oregon added a blue-chip prospect to its 2026 recruiting class on Wednesday morning.
The Ducks received a commitment from 4-star safety Xavier Lherisse, who had offers from programs such as Alabama, Auburn, Notre Dame, Florida State and many more top programs.
“Once a duck always a duck,” Lherisse told On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Lherisse is a significant pickup for Oregon in the class of 2026. He’s the No. 407 overall player and the No. 33 safety in the country for that cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 60 player from the state of Florida.
Lherisse earned his initial offer from Oregon way back in June of 2023, so he’s been on the program’s radar for nearly 2 years. He has an official visit to Eugene scheduled for June. Lherisse also scheduled official visits to Florida State, Notre Dame and Auburn prior to making this commitment — it’s unclear if he intends to still take those trips this summer.
Oregon appears to be building an elite recruiting class in 2026. Lherisse is the 9th commit the Ducks have earned so far. The class overall ranks No. 2 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. The group is led by 5-star athlete Kendre Harrison, who committed to Oregon back in November.
Lherisse attends Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne, Florida. He’s listed at 5-foot-10, 185 pounds.
