Oregon is back in the Rose Bowl for the first time since 2020 (following the 2019 season), and this year’s matchup carries extra weight. The showdown vs. Ohio State, which is a rematch in itself, will decide who advances to the College Football Playoff semifinals.

The Ducks unveiled the uniforms that will be worn in Pasadena on Sunday, and the combination has some interesting touches. It will be a reflective silver helmet with green feathering and details, an old-school green and yellow jersey with a retro Duck logo and white pants. Each specific piece is also an homage to Rose Bowls of the past.

Take a look:

The silver domes are a nod to Oregon’s Rose Bowl appearances following the 2011 and 2019 seasons. The 2020 Rose Bowl was a narrow win over Wisconsin with Justin Herbert taking home MVP honors.

The old-school green jerseys are a nod to the 1995 Rose Bowl. The Ducks also wore all-green with the retro Duck logo in 2015 when Marcus Mariota engineered a CFP blowout of Florida State.

The white pants are a nod to the 2010 Rose Bowl, which is also the last time Ohio State and Oregon faced off in Pasadena. That game was a 26-17 win for the Buckeyes but featured prominent Ducks such as LaMichael James, Kenjon Barner and Legarrette Blount in action.

As for this year’s Rose Bowl, DraftKings has the Buckeyes as a 2.5-point favorite, in spite of the fact it was the Ducks winning in Eugene. Be sure to use our DraftKings promo code Ohio for the best offerings.

Can Dillon Gabriel outduel Will Howard once again, or is Ohio State destined to get some revenge and advance to the CFP semifinals? The New Year’s Day kickoff is set for 5 pm ET/2 pm PT on ESPN.
