Oregon vs. Ohio State is poised to be the marquee matchup in the Big Ten in Week 7, and it has the potential to be the Game of the Week on a national level.

With Week 6 arriving, the B1G began setting the kickoff times and broadcast designations for Week 7, and the Ducks vs. Buckeyes matchup had particular interest. While a certain time slot always seemed likely, fans received the full details on Monday.

The likely top-10 matchup in Eugene is set for a 7:30 pm ET/4:30 pm PT time slot on NBC. That designation gives both teams a chance to showcase what they can do in primetime.

Oregon vs. Ohio State will be 1 of 2 Week 7 games in the B1G that is currently set to be a top-15 matchup. Penn State travels to LA to face USC in Week 7 in a game that could be a fellow top-10 matchup depending on the results in Week 6.

As for the Ducks and Buckeyes, the matchup between Dan Lanning and Ryan Day has always looked like a potential preview of the B1G Championship Game in Indianapolis. With the way Penn State, USC and Michigan have looked so far, it will be an especially important matchup with the two teams looking to grab an early lead in the conference.

At this point, ESPN’s FPI is giving Ohio State a 62% chance of winning with the Ducks at 38% at home after the start to the season. We’ll see if the Buckeyes live up to that projection or if the Ducks deliver a resounding statement as a B1G newcomer.
