Oregon does not like Washington. Washington does not like Oregon. The battle between Pacific Northwest rivals is one of the most intense in college football. Even though the Huskies are having a down year in 2024, this game always guarantees drama.

Ahead of the Week 14 matchup, Oregon linebacker Bryce Boettcher gave his thoughts on the Huskies.

“There’s a little extra to this game and for those who say there’s not, don’t worry about the opponent, I think that’s a little BS,” the star defender explained. “I hate the Huskies. I’ve never liked ’em. So I’ll be playing my butt off when the ball’s kicked off. Yeah, it’s time to go.”

Boettcher is a Eugene native, so this rivalry means a little more. The senior linebacker has never beaten the Huskies, going 0-3 as a player. Boettcher leads the Ducks in tackles this season with 69.

The Ducks and Huskies have played in every season since 1903. The Ducks have 48 wins while the Huskies have 63.

Entering Week 14, the Ducks have a perfect 11-0 record and are seeking to earn the top seed in the College Football Playoff. The Huskies. meanwhile, enter with a 6-5 record after making the Playoff just a year ago.

In 2023, the Huskies got the better of Oregon in the regular season and in the Pac-12 Championship Game. The Ducks haven’t beaten their rival since 2021. Boettcher probably isn’t the only one itching to get the better of UW.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Oregon is an 18.5-point favorite via ESPN Bet.
