Pac-12 cancels second game of the season due to COVID-19
The Pac-12 was supposed to get fully underway this weekend but due to COVID-19, that’s just not going to happen. After the conference accepted a request to cancel the Washington at Cal game yesterday, they did the same today with the Arizona at Utah game:

Utah was not able to have the minimum number of scholarship players available for this game due to positive cases.
The Pac-12 is not the only conference that had to have a cancellation for this week, though. The Wisconsin Badgers in the Big Ten also had to cancel their game with Purdue due to positive cases. Then in the ACC, the Virginia-Louisville game tomorrow is postponed.
With the United States reporting some of the highest cases of COVID-19 these last couple of days, this will be a problem that won’t go away anytime soon.
The rest of the Pac-12 conference is still expected to play this weekend.
