Week 5 of the college football season is wrapped up, and PFF revealed its Team of the Week from all the action on Tuesday.
When those players were announced the B1G had a pair of standout players mentioned. One player from the conference appeared on either side of the ball.
For the offense, it was Michigan guard Zak Zinter. Zinter helped pave the way for an efficient rushing attack that took the field in Iowa City against the Hawkeyes.
Star running back Blake Corum went over 100 yards for back-to-back games behind Zinter and the offensive line while the rushing attack averaged over 4 yards per game.
Defensively, Maryland’s Beau Brade received the nod at the flex position after a strong showing against Michigan State. Brade finished tied for second on the Terps with 8 tackles on the afternoon, including 5 solo tackles and a TFL. He also added a pass breakup.
We’ll see which stars from the B1G are able to step up in Week 6.
