Paul Finebaum is on SportsCenter every Sunday to give an updated personal ranking of the top teams in the country.

Week 11 certainly provided some entertainment across the full slate of games, but teams inside the College Football Playoff committee’s top 7 all handled their business. There may be more posturing from the committee this week than anything. As such, the SEC Network host kept his top 4 unchanged from a week ago.

  1. Georgia (10-0, 8-0 SEC)
  2. Alabama (9-1, 5-1 SEC)
  3. Ohio State (9-1, 7-0 SEC)
  4. Oregon (9-1, 6-1 Pac-12)

Finebaum’s foursome is the same as the CFP committee’s from a week ago, only he has the Buckeyes over the Ducks. The loss Oregon suffered to Stanford on Oct. 2—Finebaum has argued—is enough to outweigh the head-to-head win the Ducks have over the Buckeyes. Stanford hasn’t won a game since beating Oregon.

“Yes, I know Ohio State lost to Oregon, but right now, they’re trending toward one of the better teams outside of Georgia,” Finebaum said Sunday of Ohio State. “The Buckeyes continue to roll. They have Michigan State and Michigan. What an exciting finish for the Big Ten.”

Finebaum added that this upcoming week’s matchup with Utah could be a potential speedbump for Oregon. The Utes are 7-3 on the year. “I think (Utah) could derail their entire season,” Finebaum said of the Ducks.
