Although the Georgia Bulldogs have just won their first national championship in over 40 years this past season, Paul Finebaum thinks they have replaced Alabama as the premier college football program in the country.

“Georgia looks like a better program right now, and they’re backing it up on the field,” said Finebaum during an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up Wednesday.

Finebaum may be right. Georgia has looked more impressive so far in the first three games of the season than Alabama.

The Bulldogs destroyed Oregon, Samford, and South Carolina. Meanwhile, the Crimson Tide struggled at Texas, barely winning 20-19, which dropped them from the No. 1 spot to the No. 2 spot behind the Bulldogs.

And although Alabama beat Louisana Monroe 63-7 last Saturday, they still struggled on offense at times with quarterback Bryce Young throwing two interceptions and the Tide’s new wideouts still struggling.

Georgia, on the other hand, has looked better and if possible, a lot of college football analysts have said this team may be better than last year’s team.

But this is only the fourth game of the year and the Bulldogs have a long way to go before they can get to January, and you can bet Alabama would like a shot at a rematch against Kirby Smart’s squad.
