With the tenth week of the college football season in the books, Paul Finebaum has updated his top six rankings. B1G fans might be surprised by what that looks like.

Finebuam, the radio and television host on SEC Network, has two SEC teams and two B1G teams in the mix in his top six after the first weekend in November. He also has one ACC team and one Pac-12 team in the six spots.

Here’s a look at Finebaum’s top six, which he posted on Twitter on Sunday:

  1. Ohio State
  2. LSU
  3. Alabama
  4. Clemson
  5. Penn State
  6. Oregon

With these rankings, there appears to be a good shot that both the SEC and B1G could get two teams into the College Football Playoff. Obviously, there’s plenty of football to play.

This week, the College Football Playoff selection committee will release its first rankings of the 2019 season, setting the tone for the rest of the season. We’ll see if Finebaum’s top six is close to what the committee presents.
