Coming into Week 3, both Penn State and Nebraska will have their hands full along the offensive line.

That is because the Huskers and Nittany Lions are going up against Oklahoma and Auburn, respectively, and those two opponents have been impressive upfront to start the season. The Sooners and Tigers are already among the national leaders in generating a pass rush which could make for a long afternoon.

According to PFF, Oklahoma is tops in the nation in QB pressures with 63. Auburn comes in at fourth nationally and not far behind with 54 pressures.

Like most things, a bit of context is needed for both teams. Oklahoma started the year with a hard-fought win over Tulane before blowing out Western Carolina in Week 2.

Auburn’s early-season schedule has been even worse. The Tigers are 2-0 after back-to-back blowouts of Akron and Alabama State.

Both Nebraska and Penn State will be the toughest opponent yet for Oklahoma and Auburn, but there will still be plenty of talent on both sides of the ball. Establishing the line of scrimmage will be key in both contests Saturday.
