Joel Klatt, like most of us, doesn’t want to hear any whining from Alabama. So when the school complained about having too many 11 a.m. (CT) kickoffs, the FOX Sports commentator let the Tide have it.
With the announcement that Alabama’s home game against Southern Miss will be an 11 a.m. start time on Sept. 21, the school released a statement to vent about yet another early kickoff time. The school pointed to conflicts with student-athletes and fans as a reason behind their unhappiness in regards to the early start.
“We are disappointed our game against Southern Miss has been selected as a daytime kickoff at home,” the statement said. “We realize we’ve played more non-conference day games at home in September than any other SEC team since 2014.”
That laughable comment was met with harsh criticism from Klatt.
“Hahahaha…Says the team that has played TWO non-conference road games since Nick Saban got to town,” Klatt said. “Pound sand #Bama.”

Alabama has long been criticized for playing weak non-conference opponents and failing to schedule true road games until SEC play begins. So, yeah, the Tide aren’t going to get much sympathy here.
Klatt is going to be pretty popular with that comment — although probably not as much in Tuscaloosa.
