Power 5 program reportedly firing AD following continued football struggles
Ken Sugiura of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Georgia Tech president Angel Cabrera has told Geoff Collins and AD Todd Stansbury that they are being let go on Monday. This comes after some consecutive disappointing seasons in football as of late.
Georgia Tech did not have the best start to the 2022 season. The Yellow Jackets lost 3 out of their 4 first games of the season.
Both Georgia Tech football coach Geoff Collins and athletic director Todd Stansbury were told this morning by president Angel Cabrera that they have been dismissed, according to a person familiar with the situation. Upheaval at Tech. Story to come.

In the season opener they lost to Clemson, followed up by a 42-0 loss to Ole Miss in Week 3. The last straw was a 27-10 loss to UCF away from home. The team’s one win was against Western Carolina in Week 2.
People have already started to throw out some names of the people they think should replace Collins at Georgia Tech. Jackson State HC Deion Sanders, Coastal Carolina HC Jamey Chadwell, and Georgia OC Todd Monken are just some of the names that have been thrown out so far.
The Georgia Tech football program may be going through some changes, even at the highest levels.
