College kids love fast food. It’s cheap, quick and easy. That’s why every college town in America is home of to dozens of quick-serve establishments.

It’s probably not exactly the meal Clemson players and coaches were hoping to receive when they visit President Donald Trump at the White House. That’s what they’re getting, though.

Monday morning, Trump talked about Clemson’s visit to the White House, a customary practice for college sports teams that win a national championship. While Trump was very complimentary of the Tigers’ season and their 44-16 win over Alabama in the College Football Playoff title game, he also offered some inside information into what dinner the team would be receiving.

An array of fast food chains is what Clemson will be enjoying. Or not enjoying.

“I think we’re going to serve McDonald’s, Wendy’s, & Burger King, with some pizza. I would think that’s their favorite food,” Trump said.

Sure, everyone loves a good, greasy burger every now and then. And pizza is a Clemson favorite, as Dabo Swinney usually throws some sort of pizza party at the end of the season for his players. But you’d probably expect some sort of steak dinner during a visit to the White House.

Hopefully — for Clemson’s sake — Trump was kidding about the dining menu. Although, he did mention that he was being serious.

Clemson is scheduled to visit the White House and President Trump on Monday. We’ll find out soon enough what kind of menu the Tigers enjoyed during their trip.
