President Donald Trump has weighed in on the B1G’s decision to postpone the fall football season. He wants to see the conference reverse its decision and reinstate the season.

Early Saturday morning, Trump fired off a tweet in support of the B1G playing football this fall. His comment on social media comes more than two weeks after the league announced its decision to postpone football and other fall sports, with the intention of picking back up in the spring.

“Disgraceful that Big Ten is not playing football,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Let them PLAY!”

Trump is not the only supporter of the B1G reinstating the fall schedule. In the nearly three weeks since the conference pulled the plug, players have spoken up while parents have written letter and protested the decision from the B1G presidents and commissioner Kevin Warren.

Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields launched a petition asking the league to reverse its decision. That petition received more than 300,000 signatures, calling for the B1G to reconsider its options.

The B1G has made no mention of reversing course on a fall season. However, the league is considering launching its season with a few different start dates in mind, including Thanksgiving week, early January and potentially post-Super Bowl week.
