During a recent appearance on the “Take 10 Podcast with Alex Roux,” Avery broke down Saturday’s game between Penn State and Ohio State. Though he admitted Ohio State has a great defense, he also thinks the game will be a bit higher scoring than some may expect.

He points to the play of the young QBs as a reason why even labeling both players as a top-10 QB:

“I imagine it’s going to be a higher scoring game than people think,” said Avery. “I know Ohio State has a great defense, they’ve got Chase Young out there, but you’re going to see two quarterbacks playing at the highest level. To me, those are two of the top 10 QBs in college football right there.”

Fields has completed 69 percent of passes this season for 2,164 yards and 31 touchdowns while throwing just one interception. He also has 377 yards rushing and 10 more touchdowns on the ground.

For Clifford, he has completed 59.6% of passes this year for 2,450 yards, 22 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He has 374 yards rushing with five touchdowns.
