Pro Football Focus lists Top 5 B1G WR's regarding deep passer rating
Who is a quarterback’s best friend?
One could argue that it’s his left tackle. The center position is important, too. Having a good running back by your side (or behind you) certainly helps as well.
Of course, wide receivers have something to do with a quarterback’s success as well. Not everybody is Tom Brady.
Pro Football Focus keep tabs on a number of different statistics for every player in college football and they recently released a graphic on Twitter showing which Big Ten wide receivers are best when a pass is going at least 20 yards deep.
Here are the top 5:

Indiana’s Nick Westbrook leads by a wide margin, keeping the passer’s rating on these types of passes at 123.1. The next highest is KJ Hamler at Penn State at 105.5.
Indiana’s Donovan Hale also made the list, while Nico Collins and Donovan Peoples-Jones at Michigan came in at No. 3 and 4, respectively.
What does this all really mean?
Indiana’s and Michigan’s quarterbacks to safely attempt deep balls to these receivers. Typically, good things will happen. If the Hoosiers and Wolverines rank highly at the end of the season in regard to big plays, it shouldn’t surprise anybody.
