Yahoo Sports reported that LSU quarterback Myles Brennan may be leaving the program.

It was announced via Twitter on Monday that Brennan is reportedly going into the transfer portal. Brennan lost the starting quarterback job earlier in the season to Sophomore Max Johnson due to an arm injury that he suffered in Week 5 of the 2020 season against Missouri.

Brennan had 1,112 yards passing with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions before getting injured last year. Brennan’s injury allowed Johnson to get some more playing time during the 2020 season.

Johnson threw for 1,069 yards passing with eight touchdowns and one interception when he came in for the injured Brennan.

Brennan hasn’t really seen the field this season as backup since losing the starting job to Johnson. Johnson has 2,009 yards passing with 20 touchdowns and five interceptions so far in 2021.

With Brennan gone, LSU now has four quarterbacks on its roster for the 2021 season.
