Protein bar brand agrees to unique deal with all walk-on football players at BYU
Made possible by the NCAA’s new Name, Image & Likeness (NIL) rules, Thursday was a day to remember for each of BYU football’s 36 walk-on student-athletes.
Built Bar, which features more than 18 different protein bar flavors and is based in American Fork, Utah – only roughly 15 miles northwest of Provo – announced they will pay the cost of tuition for each Cougar walk-on.
As you might expect, the reaction from their scholarship teammates was priceless.

One of college football’s seven FBS Independents, BYU is entering their sixth season under head coach Kalani Sitake.
The program went 11-1 in 2020 and defeated the UCF Knights, 49-23, in the RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl en route to a No. 11 finish in the final Associated Press Poll.
Looking to reach a bowl game for the fourth consecutive year, the Cougars will begin their 2021 schedule on September 4 against the Arizona Wildcats at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada at 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
