Reggie Powers put out his Top 5 list on Thursday. The list included a trio of B1G teams.

Powers is a Dayton, Ohio native that is ranked as a 3-star safety from the 2024 class per the 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 55 safety and No. 19 Ohio prospect in his class. Powers comes in at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds.

Ohio State, Northwestern, and Michigan State all made Powers’ list. The other two schools were Pitt and Cincinatti. No other B1G schools have shown interest in Powers so far.

The Buckeyes and Spartans will be visiting with Powers soon. The safety is scheduled to visit with Michigan State on Jun. 9 and Ohio State on Jun. 23. Northwestern already visited with Powers back on May 12.

If Powers decides to commit to any of the B1G schools mentioned, he would be their first safety commit from the 2024 class.

The Buckeyes have the No. 2 2024 class among B1G schools so far. Northwestern sits at No. 10, while Michigan State is at No. 13 in the conference with three commits so far.

Ohio State had the best season out of the three B1G schools on Powers’ list in 2022. The Buckeyes were one win shy of reaching the College Football Playoff National Championship game. Ohio State lost to Georgia in the semifinal after missing a game winning field goal.
