Another bowl game is reportedly in jeopardy because of concerns of COVID-19.

Richmond.com is reporting that the Virginia football team canceled its Sunday flight to Boston for the Fenway Bowl. A team meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET. The team is awaiting a final round of COVID-19 test results, per the report.

No decision has been made regarding the bowl game at the time of the initial report.

Virginia was originally scheduled to leave for Boston on Saturday but moved the departure date to Sunday. Now, it appears that it will be even later when the Cavaliers head for the bowl game, if at all.

Virginia is set to play SMU in the Fenway Bowl on Wednesday, Dec. 29. The Cavaliers ended the 2021 season with a 6-6 record while the Mustangs were 8-4.
