However, there is plenty of money to be made across the country as collegiate players and teams as well. The NCAA knows this, as do college football programs and television networks.
According to a report, in the year 2025, each Big Ten team will receive at least $60 million in media rights:
Per a February report, @bigten teams will surpass the $60 million mark (per school) in media rights revenue in 2025. By 2029, that figure will be almost $70 million. In 2027, Rutgers will get its first full share as a @bigten member — $65.238 million.

As Dennis Dodd at CBS Sports tweeted, by 2029, the number will hit almost $70 million. That’s plenty of money that each football program will be bringing in thanks to media rights. Dodd also noted that Rutgers will get its first full share as a Big Ten member in 2027 — that being $65.238 million.
This season, the 12 longest-standing members of the conference are receiving $54 million each. From now until 2025, the growth for those 12 schools from $54 million to $60 million is roughly a 10 percent growth.
