B1G schools will reportedly see a pretty nice-sized check from the conference for its 2019 distribution.

This week, Michigan Athletic Director Warde Manuel told The Detroit News that Michigan is expected to receive $56 million in B1G disbursements in 2019. It’s an increase by nearly $4 million from last year’s total ($52.1 million).

The increased total is because of multiple television partners and lucrative deals with ESPN/ABC and FOX. According to NBC Sports, the B1G’s $56 million distribution is nearly double the projected distribution totals for the ACC and Pac-12 ($29.5 million).

Athletic directors and school presidents are going to have a hard time watching Jim Delany step away from his commissioner post in the near future. He’s certainly made some good deals for the conference and the athletic departments are reaping the benefits.

In 2017, the B1G disbursement total was just above $36 million. It’s taken just two short years for the conference to see the benefits of the monumental television deals.
