Report: Clemson star QB Trevor Lawrence tests positive for COVID-19
One of the biggest names and faces in college football has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.
That player is Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence who is a Heisman contender and the driving force behind the No. 1-ranked team in the nation. If the test is confirmed, Lawrence must sit for 10 days due to ACC policy that follows CDC guidelines.
Assuming Lawrence’s positive test came on Thursday, he will definitely miss this week’s game versus Boston College and that would likely put him as ineligible for the Tigers’ game against No. 4 Notre Dame next weekend.
Hopefully Lawrence is cleared as soon as possible without any issues. He is undoubtedly one of the major stars of this college football season with many analysts also predicting the quarterback to be selected No. 1 overall in next year’s NFL Draft.
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney later confirmed the report. He also indicated that Lawrence is dealing with “mild symptoms” after the positive test.

ACC operates under CDC guidelines. A player who tested positive must isolate 10 days from the time of their positive test.
If Lawrence got his positive today, his isolation would end, I believe, on Nov. 8 – the day after Clemson plays Notre Dame. https://t.co/AaWeJh3LCV
