College football analyst named host of ABC's The Bachelor
ESPN’s Jesse Palmer looks to be the new host of ABC’s “The Bachelor” moving forward.
According to a report from Variety, Palmer is to replace Chris Harrison as the host of the show for at least the 2022 season and it could lead to an expanded role down the line.
The report was later confirmed by the show’s Twitter account.

Palmer was The Bachelor himself in 2004 (season 5 of the show) and picked Jessica Bowlin in the finale but ended up splitting up with her about a month later.
He’s been on ESPN’s College GameDay numerous times throughout the years and also was a former contributor on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” He’s currently hosting ABC’s “The Ultimate Surfer” and he used to host “The Proposal” in 2018.
ESPN announced that Palmer also has signed an extension to remain a college football analyst.
Before landing these gigs, Palmer played at Florida from 1997-2000 and totaled 3,755 yards passing with 31 touchdowns to 17 interceptions. His best individual season was his senior year (2000) when he finished with 1,653 passing yards with 11 touchdowns to 4 interceptions.
After his college playing days, he was a backup QB for the New York Giants in 2002 and 2003.
