Report: Former Florida State leading WR arrested, charged with murder
Former Florida State and NFL wide receiver Travis Rudolph has been arrested on charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, according to a report from ESPN. The arrest was made in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Officers in the Sheriff’s department responded to a double shooting that occurred in Lake Park early Wednesday morning. One male was found deceased and another was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries.
No additional information has been released at this time, per ESPN.
The 25-year-old Rudolph was Florida State’s leading wide receiver during the 2015 and 2016 seasons, ending his career with the Seminoles with 2,311 yards and 18 touchdowns. He then declared early for the 2017 NFL Draft but was not selected.
Rudolph then spent time with the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins and totaled 8 catches for 101 yards.
