With Urban Meyer becoming the head coach of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this year, FOX was forced to find a replacement for the former college football analyst. It sounds like the network has found its guy.

Andrew Marchand of the New York Post is reporting that former Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops will step in for Meyer on the network’s Big Noon Kickoff pregame show. FOX Sports has not commented on the news at this time.

Big Noon Kickoff was launched before the 2019 season to compete with ESPN’s College GameDay. Meyer was part of the analyst crew for each of the show’s first two years. The 2021 season will mark the third year the pregame show has been in production.

Stoops will join a crew that features Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn and host Rob Stone. All are expected to return to the show for the upcoming college football season.

Stoops was the head coach at Oklahoma from 1999-2016. He compiled a 190-48 record and a 121-29 mark in Big 12 play. In his 18 seasons, Stoops led the Sooners to 10 Big 12 titles and one national championship. He was a six-time Big 12 Coach of the Year, and has been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
