Grambling State University is expected to announce a new Name, Image and Likeness deal that will benefit all scholarship student-athletes. ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported the news on Monday.

Per Thamel, the unique opportunity is expected to allow every Grambling State student-athlete to collect annual income for their NIL deal. It is reportedly the first deal of its kind in this new era of college athletics.

The announcement comes less than a year after NIL opportunities received approval from the NCAA.

Per Thamel, no number was placed on the income amount at the time of the report. The school has, however, locked up commitments from Urban Edge Network and Athylt to provide the income for all scholarship athletes at Grambling State.

This is another significant announcement in the changing world of college athletics.
