Report: Mike Golic to stick with ESPN in new role
Though ESPN has decided to scrap Golic and Wingo from its radio programming, longtime personality with the four-letter network Mike Golic will be returning to his old stomping grounds. Beginning this year, he’ll be back as an analyst.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Golic will do analyst work with ESPN’s college football coverage. It was what Golic originally did with the network during his first 10 years at ESPN.
It’s unclear what all that will include, whether he’ll be in a broadcast booth, serve as an analyst or potentially be in both roles.
After leaving ESPN radio later this month, @espngolic will do work as a college football analyst for ESPN. He will now do what he did during his first 10 years at ESPN.

For much of his ESPN career, Golic was a co-host for the popular morning radio show Mike & Mike alongside Mike Greenberg. However, Greenberg’s move to Get Up! on ESPN forced Golic to find a new partner for the popular show.
That’s when Trey Wingo took over as the new co-host.
Golic originally joined ESPN in 1995 and has been held numerous roles within the network during his 25 years in broadcasting.
