Two B1G basketball teams will be headed to New York City next December.

CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein reported on Thursday that a New York City basketball event will host Purdue and Penn State on Dec. 13, 2020, and both will play non-conference opponents. The name of the event was not mention in Rothstein’s tweet.

According to the report, Purdue will play West Virginia while Penn State will square off with Florida. A tip-off time for the games was not mentioned.

Purdue finished the 2019-2020 season with a 16-15 record and a 9-11 mark in B1G play. The Boilermakers finished 10th in the conference standings and were hoping to make a push for the NCAA Tournament in the B1G Tournament last weekend.
