NFL cornerback and former TCU standout Jeff Gladney has died, according to multiple reports. He was 25.

Ari Meirov of Pro Football Focus was one of several outlets to report the sad news on Monday. No details regarding Gladney’s sudden passing were available at the time of the report.

Gladney was a former first-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings and had recently signed with the Arizona Cardinals. He played college football at TCU from 2015-19.

Gladney was selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, going No. 31 overall to Minnesota. In his only season with the Vikings, he was credited with 81 tackles, 3 pass break-ups and a forced fumble.

Gladney spent 5 seasons at TCU. He totaled 146 tackles, 37 pass break-ups and 5 interceptions during his time with the Horned Frogs. In 2019, he had 31 stops, 14 passes defended an interception and a forced fumble.
